Hello Anglers, We returned today from our first 1.5-day Let’s Talk Hook-Up Shimano On-the-water Seminar. Fishing was tough. We struggled to find the right kelp paddie. It wasn’t for lack of trying–the crew did a great job spotting kelps in the zone, but only a few were holding fish. We weren’t the lucky ones yesterday.
Thanks to Shimano for all the gear. Pro-staffer Alex Plambeck was great with lots of good info for the anglers. There were fish caught on Shimano gear, just not the amount we had hoped for. Great raffle prizes too!
Marcus Hsu of San Diego won the jackpot with a 20# yellowtail caught on a live sardine and 30# test. Using one of the many outfits from Shimano!
The group was great and appreciative of all the hard work on the things we can control. The crew did a great job and Charles and Dan did an awesome job with the food.
