Fly-lining a live sardine was the method for catching a few yellowtail yesterday. We caught some rockfish and other fish taco choices for the morning.

A nice halibut!

April 9 (Full day) Coronado Island

April 10th, 2021|Did You Know?, Trip Reports|

Conditions at the island had changed so we had a slow morning for yellowtail on the yoyo set-ups. We connected on a few fish in the afternoon on the surface irons.

A few nice yellows at the island, but we were challenged with finding them today.

“Warriors on the Water”

March 28th, 2021|Did You Know?|

San Diego Anglers Club raises money for “Warriors on the Water” so they can take our veterans and their families fishing. We are happy to donate a free spot on our Memorial Day Weekend trip for their auction in hopes of raising funds for their worthwhile charity.

The San Diego Anglers Foundation is a non-profit organization that leads the partnership with the fishing industry and government agencies to support disabled military personnel and children throughout Southern California, by increased participation in recreational fresh and saltwater fishing, while teaching them about ethical fishing practices, conservation, and our state’s marine resources. Military personnel and the children come from federal, state and local agencies to spend the day fishing with their family, friends, and others. This time together enriches their lives and creates memories that last a lifetime.
