How Do I Start a Searcher Payment Plan?
Select your trip and choose the monthly payment plan option. Authorize the first payment with your credit card. Future monthly payments will be automatically deducted on the 15th and you’ll receive an updated receipt each month. There is no additional charge for a payment plan or for using a credit card. If you need to change cards or amounts or even take a month off, call or email. It’s easy! Remember: Trip cost in full is due two weeks prior to departure.

Please put the trip date on your check.
Fishing Gear
Check our suggested tackle list to be prepared for your fishing trip. Check the fish reports before your trip to keep track of the size and type of fish being caught. Contact us if you need advice on gear before your trip. Each trip will start with a tackle and fishing seminar. Our tackle shop, Fishermans Landing Tackle, will be open upon departure for purchases and advice from experts. Searcher carries a full supply of terminal tackle for purchase during your trip.
Additional Costs
Canned/bottled beverages (sodas and bottled water are $1 and beers are $2). We are proudly serving a San Diego craft beer, made by Ballast Point, for $4 per can.
FMM, a document which allows fishing within certain areas of Mexico. For this, $30 will be collected at the dock if deemed necessary.
See Schedule page for additional fees to fish at Isla Guadalupe.
Searcher apparel (caps, t-shirts, sweatshirts, beanies) are available for sale on board. Cash or checks are accepted.
Should a California fishing license be required (determined upon departure), this can be purchased at the tackle shop, as they are not included in the trip price. If you have an annual California license, bring it with you.
A fuel surcharge may be imposed if the cost of fuel has risen unpredictably.
It is customary to tip the crew for their service. 10-15% of the trip fare is considered a good tip. Present your gratuity to the operator or any crew member at the end of the trip.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel and we rebook your vacancy, or if we receive your cancellation at least 90 days before departure, 90% of your booking deposit and any other funds on deposit are refundable. Otherwise funds on deposit are non-refundable. No refunds after departure.
The booking deposit is non-refundable if passport requirements aren’t met to the satisfaction of Mexican immigration guidelines. Check your passport expiration date before you make your deposit!

Flights and Accommodations
If you are flying into San Diego’s Lindberg Field (SAN), catch a taxi or shuttle for the 10-minute ride to Fisherman’s Landing. It’s helpful to provide the following location tip to the driver–the Landing is located at the corner of North Harbor Drive and Scott Street in Point Loma. Click for Map Ask us about sending your gear ahead of time to avoid baggage fees on flights.

For an overnight stay before or after your trip, contact Ramada Limited 619-225-9461 or Comfort Inn 619-223-8171. Both of these budget-style motels are directly across the street from the Landing.
